City Sail is a program of New City Kids, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Because of our non-profit status, we are able to accept your sailboat as a donation and offer you a tax deduction in return.*

City Sail has experienced much growth and success in the past few years, and in summer 2009 we hope to grow our program even more to introduce our teens to the world of racing and passage planning. To do this, however, we need boats that were designed for this kind of activity. In particular, we are looking for a Colgate 26, a J/105, a J/24 or any other J boat. Please contact us if you would be willing to donate one of these boats to our program.

*The tax benefit depends upon the fair market value of the donated boat . If you claim a charitable deduction of more than $5,000 for any item of property or for a group of similar items of property, you must obtain a qualified independent appraisal, attach a fully completed appraisal summary to the tax return (IRS supplies this form) and maintain records required by IRS regulations.
